As chief financial officer, Michael brings leadership and strategic financial expertise with an eye toward growth to the Ahola team. Over a career spanning 25-plus years, Michael has provided financial leadership to high-growth companies, private equity-backed firms and large public and private businesses.

Prior to joining Ahola, Michael led the successful turnaround of a manufacturing and distribution business. He also previously served as CFO of Explorys, a Cleveland-based healthcare data analytics start-up, during which time the company quadrupled its revenues. His years of work in private equity, including his tenure at Fidelity Investments in their private equity group, laid the groundwork for a broad base of expertise in accounting, financial modeling, capital-raising, mergers and acquisitions, working capital management and financial strategy. He has led multiple exits and capital raises during his career.

Michael began his career after receiving his undergraduate degree in finance from Indiana University Bloomington, and continues to bring a strategic finance-minded approach to his work. He also holds an MBA with a concentration in accounting from the Quinlan School of Business at Loyola University Chicago, and as a licensed CPA, is a longtime member of the Ohio Society of CPAs.
